Life coaching is a powerful, collaborative relationship between a coach and a willing individual which enables, through a process of discovery, goal setting, and strategic actions, the realization of extraordinary results. It is the art and practice of bridging the gap from where the client is to a more fully expressed life.
There are an estimated 10,000 part-time and full-time coaches worldwide. The number of people
entering the emerging field of personal and business coaching has doubled in size each of the past three years. Coach U estimates that 250,000 people have been coached since the inception of the profession, about ten years ago.
Individuals and corporations are now hiring business and personal coaches at an unprecedented pace to be their combination mentor, taskmaster, motivational speaker, management consultant and sounding board.
